Referrers

For professionals

Our experienced team is committed to providing your patients with the very best care. Here's how to refer.

How to refer

We prefer to receive referrals electronically

Referrals do not need to be addressed to a specific doctor in our practice — one of our cardiologists will triage every referral. Diagnostic test referrals can be addressed to the practice or an unspecified doctor.

Medicare

How long a referral lasts

12 months — from a GP

We accept indefinite GP referrals for ongoing conditions.

3 months — from a specialist

Medicare requires a new referral for a new presenting problem, or if the referring doctor changes location or ceases practising.

Need an urgent review?

We have the provisions to assess urgent referrals quickly. Call the clinic directly to discuss an urgent case with one of our cardiologists.

We are not an emergency service provider. If you are experiencing a medical emergency, call 000.
